Hyde Gold BWT Sets Selected for Third RFA LSD(A) Cardigan Bay

Transvac Systems have secured another order (on behalf of Hyde Marine Inc) to supply Ballast Water Treatment Equipment for RFA LSD(A) Cardigan Bay.

The order is for repeat sets as previous supplied for RFA Mounts Bay which was successfuly commissioned in August 2015 .

The sets include 2 x HG600GX Atex Approved Units and 1 x HG600 set which are designed to process 600 m3/hr of ballast water in accordance with the latest IMO D2 Guidelines.

The equipment is scheduled for delivery to A&P's Falmouth yard during July 2016 2016 and will be installed during the vessel's next scheduled refit.

Whilst the footprint of the Hyde Guardian Gold units are 50% smaller (when compared to the previous Galaxy Filter designed units) the units feature a number of distinct advantages which include continuous and increased flow to tanks during ballasting, the ability to handle heavy organic and sediment loading and up to 30% reduction in peak power consumption.

The Hyde Guardian Gold BWTS is an effective and reliable solution that combines efficient filtration and ultraviolet (UV) disinfection. Standard systems are available for flow rates from 60 m3/hr to 6000 m3/hr.
