Transvac Systems have secured an order (on behalf of Hyde Marine Inc) to supply Ballast Water Treatment Equipment for a second RFA LSD(A) Mounts Bay. On this occasion, the Royal Fleet Auxiliary have selected Hyde's latest Gold range which will include 2 x HG600GX Atex Approved Units and 1 x HG600 set which are designed to process 600 m3/hr of ballast water in accordance with the latest IMO D2 Guidelines.

The equipment is scheduled for delivery to A&P's Falmouth yard during April 2015 and will be installed onboard the vessel during the 2015 refit.

The Hyde Gold Advantage:

The IMO and AMS approved Hyde Guardian Gold units provide a 50% reduction in footprint with it's new range of filters. The system is ideal for retrofits as it provides the compact size required by a growing number of ship owners and operators, whilst still maintaining the robust construction and technological specifications necessary to meet stringent ballast water treatment regulations.

Whilst the footprint of the Hyde Guardian Gold units are 50% smaller (when compared to the previous Galaxy Filter designed units) the units feature a number of distinct advantages which include continuous and increased flow to tanks during ballasting, the ability to handle heavy organic and sediment loading and up to 30% reduction in peak power consumption.

The Hyde Guardian Gold BWTS is an effective and reliable solution that combines efficient filtration and ultraviolet (UV) disinfection. Standard systems are available for flow rates from 60 m3/hr to 6000 m3/hr.
