Hyde Marine Inc have been awarded a contract to supply it's latest Gold range of BWT units for three new Batch 3 River Class Offshore Patrol Vessels that are currently under build at BAE Systems Govan yard. The vessels (to be named HMS Forth, Medway and Trent) will be designed to deploy globally to conduct anti-piracy, counter-terrorism and anti-smuggling operations currently being conduted by Frigates and various other RFA platforms.
A D2 compliant Ballast Water Treatment Plant has been selected for the newbuildings due to their Global Role in order to ensure that the vessels meet the requirements of both UK Legislation and International Convention as set out under MEPC.174(58). Each vessel will be fitted with a Hyde HG60G BWT unit which has been designed to process 60m3/hr of ballast water.
The Hyde Guardian Gold BWTS is an effective and reliable solution that combines efficient filtration and ultraviolet (UV) disinfection. Standard systems are available for flow rates from 60m3/hr to 6000m3/hr.
All units carry Lloyds Register Approval to MEPC 174(58) and are currently approved to the USCG AMS Scheme.
