Tansvac Systems have secured another lucrative order (on behalf of Hyde Marine Inc) for the supply of Hyde Guardian Ballast Water Treatment Equipment for RFA Diligence. The onboard system will comprise an HG600 equipment set which has been designed to process 600 m3/hr of ballast water in accordance with the latest IMO D2 Guidelines. The equipment set will include a number of improved features such as:

  • New Siemens TP700 Touch Screen Panel for graphic display of system operation and parameters.

  • New Siemens S7-1215 PLC controller for increased speed and memory capacity.

  • Expanded modes of operation to account for not only normal ballast/deballast modes but also tank stripping, gravity ballast/deballast, internal transfer, emergency ballast and maintenance mode.

  • One touch data logging capability with date download to a USB drive.

  • Added control panel features to enable local/remote control and a visual/audio alarm.

  • Added pressure transmitter for digital display of filter inlet pressure.

  • Added UV Cell level and moisture sensors for increased safety.

  • Relocated UV cooling valve to top of UV Cell for improved air removal.

  • System bypass valve now included in Hyde's scope of supply.

The new system will interface the existing 11 tank arrangement (total capacity 2,378.70 m3) which is to be upgraded to enable the vessel to operate beyond the initially planned 2014 OSD by meeting the IMO D2 Guidelines.
