NERC select Hyde Guardian HG60 for RRS James Cook

Transvac Systems have recently secured an order to supply a Hyde Guardian HG60 unit to process the ballast water onboard NERC's Research Ship James Cook.

The unit is the smallest of the Hyde Guardian range and treats up to 60 m3/hr. All equipment is scheduled for delivery during May 2014 and will be commissioned at the end of the year when the vessel completes her 2014 refit.

The sister vessel (RRS Discovery) entered service earlier this year and has already been fitted (during build) with the same sized BWT unit which was also supplied by Hyde.
