New OnlineVac Collection Plants for RN T23 Frigates

Transvac Systems have been awarded an order to supply OnlineVac Vacuum Collection Plants complete with 240 Litre Stainless Steel Vacuum Booster Tank Sets. The equipment will form part of a material set for Bio-Membrane Sewage Plant retrofits which will take place onboard four of the Royal Navy's Type 23 Frigates.

The Sewage Treatment Plants will replace the original Vacuum Collect/Holding Tank arrangement which was fitted throughout the class. The OnlineVac Vacuum Collection Set represents Evac's latest generation of Vacuum Generators and will replace the existing Collection Plant which comprises a Liquid Ring Vacuum Collection Set and an 800 Litre Vacuum Tank arrangement. The new collection sets offer increased performance and a valuable saving in overall weight and size which will be essential for the bespoke system retrofit onboard the Type 23 Frigates.

Transvac Systems will also be supplying four off Herborner 4/HK50 Closed Coupled Centrifugal Pumps per shipset for sludge transfer/discharge duties. The pumps will be supplied in bronze with shock proof motors.
